Inside the Teotihuacán Ruins Archaeological Complex – one of the oldest pre-Hispanic cities, is La Gruta Restaurant with a very typical, bold and delicious cuisine. In the menu we tasted in this restaurant, we were surprised eat the starter: a very tasty and specially served Green Corn Soup during the celebrations of Dia de los Muertos.
The main course was the Platon Mexican – a dish made with rice, beans, slices of skirt steak cattle) accompanied by Tamal (pork & nixtamalized corn *) and a Taquito de Cerdo (Pork Taco). It also accompanied a tortilla with Mole from the house that has chocolate in it recipe.
UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, Food Mexican has unique characteristics of unforgettable taste.
* It is called the technique of cooking corn in virgin lime to remove the skin of the grain.
