Upon arrival in Barcelona (BCN), our team will be at
the airport waiting to take you to the hotel.
At 5 pm, the group meets at the hotel in the early afternoon with the hosts of this trip: Paulo Machado, ambassador of Brazilian gastronomy and Carolina Lima, curator of the #HolaOlive project. Welcome drink and departure to visit La Pedrera to learn a little about Gaudí’s art and architecture.
After the visit we will participate in an exclusive Paellas class with Chef Alex Palomo, dinner and socializing. Spanish gastronomy is an exclusive journey.
In the summer the dusk in Barcelona is around 10 pm,
the afternoons are long and the Catalan usually dines late at night. The
program was developed following the routine of the residents of the region,
with breakfast around 9:30 am and activities until the end of the day – around
22:00.
September 23 Friday
Breakfast is served from 8am. Check-out from the hotel and departure by minibus to the city of Girona, in a journey of approximately 1h30min towards the Costa Brava. The destination this morning is the Collverd duck farm to get to know the whole structure of how foie gras is produced. Then we go to the field to learn about animal breeding and answer questions about the process of a company that takes great care in handling its animals. The activity ends with an exclusive tasting of premium products that are sold in the best meat boutiques in Europe.
After lunch, we will visit Casa Cacau – a new project by the Roca brothers, precursors of contemporary gastronomy in Spain. Let’s get to know the project and, of course, taste these chocolate delights. In the late afternoon, check-in at your hotel in Girona and free time to walk around the city. Overnight stay
September 24 Saturday
Breakfast is served from 8am. Check out of the hotel and travel by minibus to the rural area of the city of Arbeca, inland in Catalunya. It is a 2 hour trip to the olive farm where we will participate in the Harvest Party – Harvest. We will be received exclusively by the family that owns the farm and produces olive oils of the Arbequinados variety. The objective of the activity is to learn about the process of planting olive trees, harvesting the olives, production and details about bottling olive oil. Practical oil tasting class and delicious lunch in the countryside served among the olive trees.
Check-in at the hotel and free night to walk around the historic center and have dinner. Overnight stay.
