Day 1
Arrival in Campo Grande/MS, our team will be waiting for you to take you to the hotel for check-in and rest. We suggest scheduling a flight arriving in Campo Grande by 2 pm. This Pantanal Culture Experience starts with a welcome meeting in the hotel lobby followed by a visit to the Pantanal Biopark – a technical and interactive introduction to the biome.
Then, departure to the Feira Central where we will start the research expedition. On Wednesdays, the fair is a meeting point for Campograndenses. We will present the dishes that express the Campo Grande identity with the cultural influence on Japanese immigrants
Return to the hotel after dinner and overnight.
Day 2
After a delicious breakfast, check-out and departure to Mercadão de Campo Grande to visit the regional products stalls.
We will travel for 1h40min to the municipality of Aquidauana and continue along another 130km of dirt road, a great introduction to the landscapes and habitat of the Pantanal. Arrival at the inn, presentation of the hotel facilities, general information and lunch. Check-in at the apartments and rest.
I meet at 3 pm in the gardens of the Pousada, to take a boat trip through the Pantanal in the company of a local guide who will show us the diversity of life saved.
Meeting at the evening meal at the inn bar to taste caipirinhas with regional fruits followed by a welcome scene with regional dishes, including the Caribbean based on dried meat from organic cattle from the Pantanal.
Day 3
For those who like to wake up early, the dawn of this day will be in the farm’s corral to follow the work of the dairy. On the way back to the inn, delicious breakfast before starting a practical Pantanal cooking class.
We will follow the work at the farm’s cheese factory. Living with the women who produce cheese daily and have a lot of Pantanal experience to share. Armed with knives and cutting boards, we will learn about the organic meat of the Pantanal and help the women in the kitchen in the preparation of Linguiça de Maracaju – a regional product that has Geographical Identification. We will also learn the history and how Chipa and Sopa Paraguaya are prepared.
A swim in the pool after this morning of work and socializing and a delicious siesta after lunch.
Departure in the middle of the afternoon for a safari in an open car through the fields of the farm to observe the Pantanal wildlife.
Dinner with regional dishes. Anyone with energy is invited to participate in a night safari. Overnight stay.
Day 4
Breakfast and departure for a tour of the bay of the farm. The goal is to observe the Pantanal fauna and flora and absorb the wonderful energy of this natural sanctuary. Our guides will show us how artisanal fishing is done on the farm with the aim of catching piranhas for a fresh ceviche by the pool. Those who wish can help prepare it using the spices available in the backyard. A delicious aperitif before lunch.
After the siesta, we’ll go on a horseback ride through the property’s fields. An opportunity to interact with farm workers and understand their daily routine in managing the cattle. Dinner of regional dishes and overnight.
Day 5
Breakfast and walk through the forest of the farm in the company of local guides to get to know the Pantanal flora better. Return to the inn and farewell to the team that welcomed us at the farm for these days. Embark to Campo Grande with a stop for lunch.
We suggest scheduling a flight at 4 pm or staying a few more days in Campo Grande to enjoy the activities that the city offers.
