March 31st, Saturday
Group meeting at 9am at Eataly to start the Food Safari Day. It begins with the Tour Mangiamo learning all about Italian food origins and tasting bread and focaccia of the local bakery, special cheeses and sausages, chocolate truffle and wine. The van will take us to Bairro Liberdade - the oriental neighborhood, where we will receive a "Choux Cream" class at Kazu Space. After class and tasting, the van goes to Vila Madalena where the Master Cheesemaker Bruno Cabral will give a lesson about handmade cheeses and honey from native bees, followed by tastings. The evening continues with a chat about Brazilian cuisine at the Tordesilhas restaurant with Ivo Ribeiro and chef Mara Salles, as well as a charming dinner. End of Food Safari Day in Sao Paulo.
