Includes olive oil tasting on a farm with lessons and tastings, visit to a saffron producing farm, visit to two wineries, one of which is Cava Freixenet, in addition to two practical cooking classes - one with typical Catalan dishes and another On molecular cuisine, the latter with the exceptional contemporary chef Pere Planagumà.
Group meeting in the hotel early afternoon with our tour hostess, Carolina Lima, curator of the Project #HolaOlive and Adrià Damau, expert on olive oil. Visit to La Pedrera to learn about Gaudí art & arquitecture. Walk to the El Nacional, a relevant gastronomic complex with products from the Mediterranean and Spain countrysides with 04 options of restaurants to have dinner.
In the summer, dusk in Barcelona is around 10pm, the afternoons are long and the Catalans are used to have late dinner. The program was prepared to follow local population routine and breakfast is around 9h30 and there are activities until the end of the day.
Breakfast starts at 9h00. Visit to Mercado La Concepció to learn about regional see food, vegetables and olives. Check-out and departure from hotel in Barcelona and trip towards Arbeca village. Late afternoon, olive oil, wine and Iberian Ham tasting in the farm woods with Sommelier Adriá. heck-in the hotel in Arbeca and overnight.
Breakfast and transportation to the countryside to visit a saffron farm to learn about the flower production and its gasronomical use. Lunch in the charming village of Valbona de les Monges, and wine tasting at Viña de Los Artistas with designation of origin in Costers del Segre. Tasting under the orientation of an enologist.
On the end of the day, Cooking Show with Chef Ramon Tudela and help prepare 06 typical dishes from the Catalan Cuisine. Overnight.
Hotel check-out and van trip towards Barcelona. Stop on the way for a visit to awarned winery of Cavas with tasting. The visit will be guided by an enologist. Stop for lunch by astonishing restaurant where the menu is prepared with " 0 Km" ingredients.
Arrival in Barcelona and hotel check-in. Dinner will be in one of the prized restaurants owned by brothers Ferran and Albert Adriá – free choice. Overnight.
Breakfast and departure to Cooking Show in the Center of Gastronomical Research Gastrocultura Mediterrânea with chefs Pere Castells and Pere Planagumà focusing on modern cuisine techniques with the following theme: Ares, Espumas y Esferificación ( Scents, Cullinary Foams & Spherification) An incredible seminar with two worldwide famous molecular cuisine masters known for their habilities and creativity. Free late afternoon to visit other markets in the city. Overnight.
